Even though I completely understand why HALF of these songs were left OFF the original album, I also understand why he STILL felt the need to release them. I LOVE "VERSUS". It's worth the $7.99 at Best Buy or $9.99 everywhere else. I especially recommend the CD for my voguing QUEENS and people who can't get enough of PRINCE and "There Goes My Baby". Well welcome to Hip Hop... Eminem's Recovery takes you into his life, as do majority of his songs&albums, but this one goes deeper. His melodic flow has truly proven to be unstoppable, he shows his apparent "love" for rapper Kanye West often, and collaborates with Kobe, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, and P!NK. If you are a hip hop without this album I would just say I can't emphasize in words how important this album is... Besides his singing, which isn't the best, but to me he wouldn't be the same without the attempts. Imma just say BUY IT. He wears his heart on his sleeve - loveeee it. In addition, Wayne delivers the BEST verse he's delivered in a while.

A lot of how I feel about the situation cannot be explained or even emphasized in this blog I am beginning to write. I am so passionate about the art of Hip Hop. ... basically what I'm saying is she NEVER disappoints me. I think people that DON'T love her are NOT listening CLOSE enough. You don't have to love/like someone, but you MUST respect them.

Nicki is a good gimmick, but truth is I don't think she has longevity. Her lyrics are weak, simple, and I don't feel she LOVES Hip Hop. And YES she makes money, but dont the people want a female emcee that embraces Hip Hop. An emcee that is lyrically the best, that has stamina, that has stayed in the game, who they can grow with mentally and physically, and be the BEST to represent all types of people. I would think people would want someone that's not here just for the money, but yet here for Hip Hop. To tell a story and change lives. How does "pussy on your sideburns" change your life?

But again... she's NO KIM.
Hip Hop's previous emcees have been inspired by someone before them but NEVER an exact DUPLICATE. Nicki Minaj came with nothing original. Yes she's hot, new, and making funny faces and getting those spreads in the magazines, but to me KIM is and will always be the BEST. She has so many titles, platinum albums, fans, and love for the art. Nicki Minaj just has the love to get money - she can't freestyle, she doesn't show a developed art. She shows a GIMMICK. In addition, people have stored all this FALSE hope in someone WITHOUT an album, who doesn't even have a guaranteed release date, that doesn't even have ONE solo single that has hit #1. Kim has 5+ singles that are #1's. - Hmph.
Statistics just show who's the better rapper and honestly KIM didn't have to defend her throne she was already sitting HIGH on it, but I think that's what she does best.
Eminem does it... 50 Cent does it... Kanye does it... But when a woman wants to do it she's labeled immature and jealous? I just don't understand.
KIM's biggest thing was to prove that she could do something just as GREAT as a man. She spoke for women that did things and never wanted to say it outloud. Plus she's a hell of a dancer. =)

With all of this said, I will NOT be supporting ANY Nicki Minaj or Drake movement, especially after his bitchass statements. Hip Hop is legendary and the legend in this case is LIL KIM until statistics and facts show otherwise.

For all those envious Nicki Minaj fans:
Keep hating, keep writing, keep commenting the blogs.
She can keep making her money because like most things - this too shall pass.
I would love for some of you fans to LISTEN to Kimberly Denise Jones, all 4 of her albums and her mixtapes, LISTEN to her words, and tell me if you could possibly FEEL something. If you hear and feel what she's saying.

On Saturday June 6, 2010 I got the opportunity to see Lil Kim rock the stage for a packed and rowdy venue at Club Sonar in Baltimore, MD. Lately there's been this back and forth between the QUEEN and hip hop's latest _trash, I mean latest raptress Nicki Minaj.
Queen feels disrespected by her and as always, she comes forth and does what she does naturally, which is resume the throne and show people what they've been missing. During her performance where she states, "I'm such a f.ckn trendsetter," Kim also surprisingly teams up with a little person once again and let's infamous KEYS[theproblem] have at Nicki Minaj ONCE AGAIN...

Three days after the midnight premiere, I've finally gotten the time to sit down and tell you what I thought about SEX AND THE CITY 2. Seems like I waited for a lifetime to see Aidan...I mean the GIRLS back on the screen. Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha give off the same spark and auror and maintain that same friendship that ladies worldwide envy. They added marriage on their to-do list, one of the crew goes jobless temporarily, Sam is 5-fckn-2 and still fckn like she's 25, and there's always gorgeous outfits and shoes to die for! Although fashion was a big plot in the other movie fashion is downplayed and the talk of kids, marriage, and nannies becomes more relevant. There seemed to be several small problems, which made the movie seem like one extra long SATC episode. I can't give away what happens in Au Dubai but let's just say Sam's PDA gets put on PAUZ and Carrie plays with FIRE. Its worth the time to go see because the movie is truly classic to fashion & women, but it was not as great as the first one... just as long.

I said C+ for the movie at first, but ill change that to a B-.

After a lot of females in hip hop discussions, reading lots of interviews that took place NOW and in the 90s, and after several debates of WHO is the best female rapstress -- I've come to the conclusion that a lot of individuals MISREAD & MISUNDERSTAND Lil Kim
Although she is explicitly sexual and profane in her lyrics, I do not think that it suggests that she's a whore, I disagree with the assumption that all she raps about it SEX, and I believe she always had a bigger reason behind her lyrics but a lot of people never paid attention.

In "Hey Ho" alongside Ludacris & Lil Fate, Kim holds her own rapping:

Even though I said I was not going to entertain Howard Stern's blatant ignorance for saying things we ALL know is TRUE, but some things are better left UNSAID. Ironically before he taped this segment I was discussing with my GF/Wifey that I could NEVER picture Gabrielle Sidibe in another movie after PRECIOUS. While she was a GREAT actor that probably has a beautiful personality, I know that the prejudice movie screens will only see her as a fat blob and not as the actress she is. Sadly, I think her weight will prevent her from attaining another movie role. Like he said, really who will she play? Which director will seriously cast her if it's not in another fat, ugly role? It just shows you how narrow-minded society is and the emphasis they have on the "look" that a female should have. I guess everyone has to have D-size boobies, a Trina ass, and be light to brown skin to obtain an acting role. Even within the unrealistic bodies that these people expect you to have in the media, there are limits of what they can and cannot play, someone TOO pretty can't get a "dirty" role. While certain people stay in a particular persona of a movie role.
Acting should be about talent and not just looks.
But also lets keep it diamond-studded - T.V. is for fantasy and IN your fantasies who wants to see a 350-lb chocolate girl? That's clearly EVERYTHING that the media is AGAINST!!!

When something new, hot, and anticipated comes out of course Diamonds is the first to run and go cop it from the store. Ludacris use to be one of my favorite male rappers, so of course I expected it to be an awesome album. Instead of giving me less than what I bargained for, he took me ALL THE WAY BACK to Back For The First Time. I felt as if I was putting his first CD in and this was once again my favorite rapper. His melodic flow always had a way to make me jizz my panties - mind you, it's extra hard for a man to be capable of THAT. In addition, in songs like "Can't Live Without You" (feat. Monica)I can actually feel his words 100% as it relates to my relationship. Ludacris mixes his style and allows female raptresses to compete with his harmonious ingenious lyrics in this Battle of the Sexes.
